Remy Dowd, LCSW

Founder and Clinical Director

Remy specializes in relationship and family conflict, anxiety, stress, executive function development, life transitions and self esteem. Her treatment approach is tailored to her client’s individual needs and incorporates a combination of therapeutic models and skills. She encourages open communication and will challenge you in the most supportive way possible to ensure that you reach your goals. In a nonjudgmental and confidential space, she will help you regain a sense of control and develop essential tools to find resolution and maintain balance in your life.

Remy is an experienced psychotherapist, executive function coach, and Founder of Therapy & Coaching Collaborative, PLLC. She practices in both Connecticut and New York. Remy attended the University of Pennsylvania for her undergraduate education and received her Clinical Master’s degree from Columbia University School of Social Work. She also completed an extensive post graduate certification program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in New York City, specializing in Family and Couples Treatment Services.

Remy has previously worked at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center, the Jewish Board for Family and Children Services’ outpatient mental health clinic, New York City public schools, Covenant House Homeless Shelter for adolescents, and a group private practice in New York City.

Treatment modalities include: Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy (FST), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Problem-Solving Therapy (PST), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Positive Psychology.


Sasha Hedaya, LMSW

Sasha specializes in family and couple’s work, stress and anxiety management, life transitions and executive function development. Her treatment approach pulls from a variety of evidence-based models to best support each client’s unique needs and goals. Sasha strongly believes in meeting the client where they are at, focusing on the here and now, and fostering an open, non-judgmental therapeutic environment in order to best support and motivate each client. She utilizes a strength-based lens to help her clients feel understood and to gain tangible skills to help them thrive. 

Sasha practices in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Duke University and attended NYU’s Silver School of Social Work for her graduate degree. Sasha is currently attending a post-graduate certificate program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in New York City, focusing on Family and Couple’s Treatment Services. 

Sasha has previously worked at the Jewish Board for Family and Children Services, the New York City Public School System, The Friendship Circle, and the Center for Attachment Research at the New School. Before becoming a therapist, Sasha worked at Teneo, a global consulting firm, where she advised and coached Fortune 500 CEOs.

Valerie Robbins, LMSW

Valerie is committed to providing high-quality, warm, and compassionate care in a safe environment to all her clients. Valerie offers a space where every part of you feels invited to participate in the process of healing and self-understanding. She takes a collaborative approach and works with each patient to understand their individual presenting issues, the underlying conflicts and the general challenges of everyday life. She believes that real change comes with a deep exploration and understanding of patterns of behavior and underlying emotions. Valerie is committed to helping her clients find a freer and more fulfilling way of life.

Valerie is licensed in both New York and Connecticut. Valerie received her Master’s in Social Work from New York University. During her training, she developed a passion for working with individuals, couples, and families to improve their mental health and overall well-being. She began her career in Brooklyn working directly with high need and vulnerable populations. Since then, she has worked in private practice and at local facilities serving a range of clients and gathering extensive experience working with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, low self-esteem, loss, trauma, grief and executive function development.

Valerie has worked at Brooklyn Treatment Court, Brooklyn Defender Services, Palladia, Integrity Senior Services and Mountainside Treatment Center.

Treatment Modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Family Systems Therapy (FST), Mindfulness-based Counseling, Narrative Therapy, and Client Centered Therapy.
